Having recently moved to a new area of Nashville, one of the most difficult challenges is to find a good place to eat. While chains and/or fast food restaurants are always endlessly abundant no matter where you go, sometimes you just want to eat at a local restaurant. Even with the abundance of web-based reviews, it is still hard to make a decision and many times you find that the reviews themselves are either lacking in availability, are somewhat biased, or are fake “fluff” reviews made by the owner & their friends. That’s what Haley and I ran into …

About a month ago (for St. Patrick’s Day), I got the opportunity to hang out in East Nashville with Haley and her coworker Jennifer. Instead of becoming inebriated on green beer like everyone else, I instead was looking forward to trying out a new restaurant on that side of town. It’s been a while since I last wrote a review but don’t think I’ve been taking a break. I recently took a trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge this past weekend and have plenty of restaurants to write about. The first on my list is Applewood Farmhouse Grill in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Applewood Farmhouse Grill (the sister to Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant) is quite popular to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge residents and visitors alike. Known for its wide varieties of Southern comfort foods with specialty in apple-related dishes, Applewood Farmhouse Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s been voted as the best …
