 I first heard about Wild Eggs earlier this year from several friends and family who are residents in Louisville, Kentucky. Typically when a single person says something is “awesome”, you can’t help to have some sort of skepticism… but as I brought it up in conversation with each friend & family member, every single one of them ranted & raved about how good it was. By the time I got my 6th opinion, I knew I had to pay Wild Eggs a visit.

 To me, the Gatlinburg area means three things: a nature escape, a shopper’s paradise, and land of great food. In this land of great food, you’ll find some of the best breakfast restaurants in the state of Tennessee. Unfortunately I was only able to eat breakfast once but my experience was a great one.  This past Sunday, Haley was craving some cupcakes for dessert. We were in Murfreesboro that day and just had lunch with our friends James and Emily from Madisonville. Before heading home, we decided to stop by Gigi’s Cupcakes. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize that this particular Gigi’s Cupcakes was not open on Sundays. Disappointed, we were about to head back until Haley mentioned that I brought a cupcake home in the past from “some bakery in Murfreesboro”. I knew exactly what bakery she was talking about.  With the cold days fast approaching, I had a hankering for some soup. Since Haley and I didn’t get to document her cabbage soup from a couple weeks ago, I made a simple request for her to prepare it for me once again.

 Those of you who are regulars know that I’ve been craving a USDA Prime steak for some time now. My last visit to a steakhouse came close, but didn’t quite fit the bill. Despite having available options just down the road to Metro Nashville, I didn’t have the time to make those reservations.
