 Last month I had the opportunity to dine at Copper River Grill, one of Nicholasville’s newest restaurants just off of Nicholasville (Lexington) Rd. I first noticed the construction for Copper River Grill late last winter and through my research, I learned that Copper River Grill was the name of restaurants originating in South Carolina.
Several years ago, founder Jimmy Rogers and CEO Dan Angell envisioned a restaurant reminiscent of an Alaskan mountain lodge serving up a wide array of food choices and “Providing exceptional food and service, one plate and one customer at a time”. They named this restaurant …

 A couple weeks ago, I was in the Franklin area visiting Haley after work. Since it was close to dinner, she made the suggestion that we try J. Alexander’s. The last time I experienced J. Alexander’s was over a decade ago in Louisville and I barely even remember that visit because I was too young to appreciate food like I do now.

 Two days before Christmas, Haley and I found ourselves in downtown Nashville to attend my first NHL hockey game. Not really sure what to expect in terms of traffic; I went ahead and made a reservation to Midtown Cafe just in case. Our reservations were made quite early to give us ample time to eat and then get to Bridgestone Arena. It was so early (5 PM) that we ended up being the only patrons there until the end of our dinner. This made it seem extra special, as if I rented out the entire restaurant just for us.

 Of all the times I’ve visited Gatlinburg, Tennessee, I’ve never got a chance to experience any of the fine dining experiences the area has to offer. Over the years, I have had a couple places mentioned like The Peddler, Park Grill, Cherokee Grill, and Howard’s but I’ve always found myself in a bind for time or under-dressed to visit those restaurants.  Mike and I originally planned on going to Demos’ Restaurant in Murfreesboro for lunch on Monday but a couple of the guys couldn’t make it. So we postponed it to Tuesday in hopes that more people could go. In the end we got Marty & Jason to come with us. Nothing like workplace camaraderie!
Demos’ Restaurant is the name of locally-owned restaurants by the Demos family.
