Last Friday, I convinced my friends Jonathan, Clint, and Matt to try out Cajun Invasion in Franklin, Tennessee. Cajun Invasion, as the name implies, is a Cajun/Creole restaurant that has been open for a few months now. Because I’ve never actually been to Louisiana, I can’t really tell you what “real” Cajun/Creole cuisine tastes like. What I do know is that I like it a lot… however the only kind I’ve tasted were at restaurants that claimed to be an authentic Cajun & Creole joint or had select items on the menu. Of all those places, two of them …

Back in March, I read an article about a new restaurant called Mangia Nashville in The Nashville Scene. The article was quite lengthy, but went into extreme detail about the history of the venture as well as in-depth reviews of the meal that evening. Being the avid food lover that I am, I called the number that was supplied only to find that reservations be done via e-mail. A few weeks ago while I was checking the Twitter account for Hyoungry Man, I noticed a fellow Nashville food blogger & Twitter friend, Beth Eats, tweeted about her recent lunch experience that day. What caught my eye in particular were three words: “Gloria’s Korean Kitchen”. After a few quick tweets, I found out that Gloria’s Korean Kitchen was actually found in Franklin, TN. Having recently taken a new job in Brentwood, I was minutes away from Franklin and saw it as a perfect opportunity to plan my next meal there. Korean restaurants in Nashville are far & few …

A couple weeks ago, I was in the Franklin area visiting Haley after work. Since it was close to dinner, she made the suggestion that we try J. Alexander’s. The last time I experienced J. Alexander’s was over a decade ago in Louisville and I barely even remember that visit because I was too young to appreciate food like I do now.
Before arriving to J. Alexander’s, all I knew was that it is an upscale restaurant on par with Stoney River. Although J. Alexander’s doesn’t advertise themselves as being a steakhouse like Stoney River does, they do have …

A little over 3 months ago, Kevin Henderson (one of the people responsible for bringing Pinkberry to Tennessee) told me that he planned on opening a second Pinkberry in Cool Springs. Well that time has come. As reported by Cool Springs News, Pinkberry is opening their 2nd store in the Cool Springs area. No longer will Pinkberry lovers have to trek all the way to the 1st location at 2306 West End Blvd in Nashville for their Pinkberry fix.
The new store, opening on February 18, will be located at 3065 Mallory Lane, Franklin, TN 37067. Just as the …
