As a child, I never got to really appreciate American barbecue due to lack of availability. The biggest locale for barbecue was probably Owensboro, KY but given its distance and being overshadowed by a “cooler” city (Evansville), it was often overlooked. It wasn’t until when I moved to Lexington did I didn’t get to experience barbecue on a more frequent basis.
My first memory is of the Famous Dave’s barbecue chain, which in my opinion is one of the better chains out there but for some reason, it closed down in Lexington. My most recent memories involve Sonny’s Bar-B-Q, another …

Several weeks ago, Mike, Marty, and I ended up visiting Wingstop for lunch. I forgot how it was decided but I remember asking them about it on several occasions prior because I’ve never heard of the brand before coming to Tennessee. Having been exposed to two of the more well known names in the chicken wings business (Buffalo Wild Wings and Wing Zone) and being a fan of wings altogether, I was eager to try it.

A little over 3 months ago, Kevin Henderson (one of the people responsible for bringing Pinkberry to Tennessee) told me that he planned on opening a second Pinkberry in Cool Springs. Well that time has come. As reported by Cool Springs News, Pinkberry is opening their 2nd store in the Cool Springs area. No longer will Pinkberry lovers have to trek all the way to the 1st location at 2306 West End Blvd in Nashville for their Pinkberry fix.
The new store, opening on February 18, will be located at 3065 Mallory Lane, Franklin, TN 37067. Just as the …

Since my original review of the newly opened Pinkberry, I’ve heard a lot of comments about it in the world of frozen yogurt reviews. Basically there are two camps of commentators. One says Pinkberry is the best tasting yogurt ever and the other camp states that Sweet CeCe’s blows Pinkberry out of the water. Evidence of both of these opinions is shown on various websites such as Urbanspoon, Yelp, and the like. There really is no “middle of the road” when comparing the fanatics of these two brands. Since my goal of HyoungryMan.com is to provide unbiased reviews, I knew that …
